Greetings from the owner

We pursue a true value that everyone - no matter how old you are, which culture you belong to, or where you are – acknowledges to produce “real” Japanese sake.

Modern society’s big changes give us new inspirations all the time to us and our 2000 years history sake brewing. Today, diverse food culture has been introduced to Japan and Japanese food culture has also spread to the world. It is our pleasure that people around Japan and the world have tried our sake.

We hope that “Toko” remains to be a mirror of Japanese perspective as well as culture, and a landscape which depicts Yonezawa. In that sense, we think we need to deeply understand our own region which grows the rice, water, and people and care about Japanese food culture sincerely. With that being said, our goal is not to be afraid of changes and to continually challenge for innovations.

The world is broad and Japanese history is long. We believe opening our heart to the world and continuing learning from pioneers’ steps will lead the modern brewery to the next stage.
